Hi. Does anyone know how to remove O2 Browser icon and internet function from Viewty? I got a BIG O2 icon on the screen, always click on it by mistake, it drives me nuts…

Thanks.

You will probably need to "Debrand" the phone to do this.  There's a great deal of reasons why debranding is good, including the principle of wanting your phone as its designer intended / tested.

Be sure to look into it before doing it but I reckon I will always debrand every phone I get pretty much...

Then again I am a victum of Orange who believe it makes customers happy to have their nice orange logo on every possible screen of every phone.  They also think its a great idea to make our excellent phones seem slow and glitchy, because we like to wait half a second for each menu to load right?  Ohh and forgot, we also love having key features removed from the phone too right? (sarcasm rules xDD)

You might see it a bit drastic just for that logo but I say debrand and set your mobile free again ;)

Steve....

To Debrand or not to Debrand, that is the question. Whether tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous Branding. Or to take arms against a sea of troubles, And with DaVinci end them?

Rebrand to what?  It might be worth calling Vodafone technical support and see if they can help you with the settings

yeah tried that  but getting definitive answers from some person at vodafone is like pulling teeth from a wide awake angry tiger i.e. well nigh impossible. they either don't know what your talking about or if they do, can't actually help you "talk to technical services"  "ok put me through" oh no that would be too easy they give you a number which you need to ring a direct line which of course never gets answered except by a computer who tells you to leave a message and they'll get back to you----not!!!!

But thanks for reply

Marc,

Can I make a suggestion? Vodafone have their own eforum now and some of their techie guys hang out there. It might be worth posting your question there?

for anyone who wants to de-brand a KU990 check out this forum  http://www.ku990.co.uk/forum/index.php there are a couple of app's where it allows you access to the O/S and even load a non branded O/S on to the phone , add themes and other cool stuff.
