Why W910 grid menu flash themes not working on this phone?
when i install W910 themes i do not get the flash effect on the main 3x4 menu.
is there a way to make it work?
W910 and W890 are suppose to have the same theme support.

Is yours branded?

i am not sure what you mean by "branded".

i am not an English native speaker...

the phone was bought legally in a cell phone store unlocked (SIM free) and tagged as an SE W890i with original SE pack.

my issue is not unique, i saw many comment on this issue.

when applying W890 themes on W910 (and vice versa) everyting is working except for the flash effect on the mail menu grid.

this is strange as both phones have the same theme format/version.

i think the same issue also happens between K850 and W910 act.

You don't have the flash lite files for the themes on your phone.  You would have to brute force them on and I don't think you can with this model of phone.

I remember this issue first occurred with the w810i - had 3 flash themes built in and so did the w850i, however the flash effects wouldn't work on the 850i when they worked on the 810 and vice versa.

this is exaclty what i need to know - how do i "brute force them on "

it does not make sense that i can't...

just as i can load the theme, i can probably load the flash files.

basically i can even create these themes myself using the "theme creator" so i probably can also copy them.

No, these files live elsewhere within the phone's GDFS.  This phone is DB3050 which hasn't had it's security broken down yet.

Wow what are all these terms?

GDFS, DB3050 act...

so are you trying to suggest that the theme files (.thm) does not include part of the data that the theme uses?

if i open the theme with "themes creator" application i have no way to obtain these files?

Update of what i found so far regarding theme options for this phone:

1. the phone have three embedded flash Lite menu files.

2. there is no option to add more files as the phone file system was not cracked yet.

3. there is a simple hacking option to modify existing themes or create new themes and use these files.

That's all correct.
