Voice dial only ?

am looking to replace the poor and difficult to use bluetooth telephone system fitted in my new (07) Honda Accord and the Parrot minikit system is one that has been recommended. I see from your website that that voice recognition dialling can be used on this parrot system - but can calls also be placed from the handset with the conversation then taking place via the parrot speaker system ? I am wary of using voice dialling only, my current system gets it wrong more than right, frequently confusing names and numbers - and having to glance at the phone display to check the number is being correctly read back to me (The phone already sits in a dedicated holder) is distracting at best and dangerous at worst. I want a system where I can place a call from touching a button on the keypad using the existing telephone memory (as I did with my previous vehicle that was fitted with a dedicated fixed carkit ) but I then want to be able to conduct the conversation handsfree to stay within the law.
Does this, or any of your systems allow for that please? I am unable to fit a wired or fixed kit as the vehicle is leased and altering or adapting existing trim or wiring would conflict with the leasing conditions
Thanks for any help

I suppose really it would depend on the type of phone you have.

Nokia 6021 and a Nokia 6310i :)

Both have allowed handset dialling and bluetooth communication on previous systems (Such as when I had the Nokia Bluetooth fitted kit in my previous car) but the Honda pre-fitted system does not allow for it. With that system if I dial out from the handset - it still leaves the audio on the handset.

Hence my need to replace the system with a handset dial out facility - that still routes audio through the speaker/microphone and my question as to if the Parrot kit allows for it ?

Not sure if this would be any help to you at all. I have a parrat 3300 kit with palm 680 phone.

The phone automaticly connects to the car system. I can answer calls from the handset or parrat. I can also make calls using the parrat system or handset. Basicly i can do anything i link using the phone and when i press dial, the parrat system then mutes the radio and takes over the call making it hand free.

I am assuming most parrat systems are designed the same way, so u should be able to connect to it, use your handset and when you press dial the parrat takes over.
