HTC Desire Features

The HTC Desire certainly lives up to its name - this hugely popular handset has been one everyone outside the Apple fanclub has wanted.

Featuring some excellent mobile phone technology, this twist on Google's Android operating system includes a blistering 1GHz Snapdragon processor to let you play movies and run multiple apps.

The screen uses SLCD technology, instantly serving up better clarity and bolder colours (hold it up to older handsets and the difference is huge). The Desire package is also enhanced by HTC's Sense interface, making the Desire simple to use and learn but with tons of features that make it a joy to use plus access to loads of great Marketplace apps.

Features you'll love:

  • HTC Sense adds 7 home screens for your favourite widgets and apps - personalise your handset with ease
  • The high resolution Super Liquid Crystal Display (SLCD) is fantastically clear, and is a perfect place to view photos, videos, websites and games
  • Google Android operating system is powerful and versatile, whatever you use your phone for Android can help you do it
  • Access to hundreds of thousands of apps
  • High build-quality gives the Desire a top-class finish

What our customers say:

get one....: a really excellent phone. I have had several PocketPC's and this is the first that really feels like a user friendly computer in my pocket.

Excellent Design and Function: I recently bought the HTC Desire and my personal experience has simply been "WOW".

19 April 2010

Brilliant Phone: This is probably the best phone I have ever owned. It is very fast and responsive and for me the battery will last about 2 days which isn't too bad for a smartphone.

What we say:

Cutting edge hardware is only half the story with the Desire. HTC have thoroughly re-worked Android in many areas adding bundles of clever touches, from a better on screen keyboard to a phone book that links in with both Twitter & Facebook, the result being a phone that just works fantastically well. HTC have turned a great smartphone into an amazing piece of tech, and the Desire's success both with the public and critics (voted 2010's phone of the year by many) is no surprise.

Life in Hi-Resolution:
The large hi-resolution display on the HTC Desire makes it perfect for watching movies. Support for popular movie formats and the brilliant 3.7" display utilizing the the latest SLCD (Super Liquid Crystal Display) technology to produce sharp vibrant colours and deep blacks.

Make It Mine:
With the HTC Desire, it's all about your information, your multimedia, your entertainment… your way. A multitude of HTC Sense widgets makes it easy to transform your Home screen with rich content that personalizes your phone experience. If you're a sports junkie or simply love to keep up to date with the latest news, the HTC Desire keeps you in the know with the News application. News makes it easier than ever to collect all your favorite articles from across the web. Choose from a selection of channels that cover top blogs, news sites or sports pages, or get news updates based on the keywords you select.

Stay Close.

Stay in touch:
The HTC Desire excels at helping you stay in touch with the different circles of friends or colleagues in your life. The new People widget lets you bring any group you create on your phone right to the surface for easy access to calling, messaging, emailing or simply checking up on social networking updates. With Friend Stream, your interaction with friends across multiple social networks like Facebook, Twitter, and Flickr are brought into a single easy to follow stream of updates, photo posts, and shared links.

Internet Now:
HTC Desire was designed to thrive on the web. The screen size is perfect for mobile browsing, with the high resolution SLCD display making everything you view ultra crisp. The pinch to zoom feature makes zipping around websites intuitive - the text even automatically reflows when you take a closer look so you don't have to pan left or right, and the Adobe® Flash® support opens up the vast video and gaming resources of the Internet. HTC Desire's browser is designed to do more than simply browse. With just a press and hold you can select text on a page and look it up in Wikipedia or have it converted into your native tongue via Google translation tools.

Fast:
Utilizing the latest Qualcomm SnapDragon processor and chipset the HTC Desire offers blistering performance. Watch HD movies with no slowdown, flick through hundreds of photographs or browse through the internet with no slowdown, thanks to the SnapDragon processor.

HTC Desire

Owned the HTC Desire now for 3 months and love it, in fact love it so much I've just bought my wife one and she's in love with it too. Normally you find the odd feature you don't like, but to date we haven't.
