LG G PAD 8.3 Features
Despite its large display, the LG G Pad 8.3 features a slim and sleek form factor that is comfortable enough to hold in one hand. While maintaining its portability, the LG G Pad 8.3 squeezes in a powerful 4600mAh battery for long-lasting usage time but is still as light as a newspaper at just 338g.
The LG G Pad 8.3 offers a Full HD display and is equipped with a 1920 x 1200 WUXGA display capable of delivering picture quality with even higher resolution than a standard Full HD display. In addition, the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 600 Processor with 1.7GHz Quad-Core CPU enhances the viewing experience with powerful performance as users will be able to enjoy Full HD content without any compromise.
With the unique QPair app, every call and message received on a smartphone will appear on the G Pad for a true convergence experience. Users can then send simple replies through the LG G Pad 8.3.
QPair also allows the G Pad to easily connect to other manufacturers' smartphones and tablets (Jelly Bean OS recommended).

Excellent Value and great performance
I was given my G Pad at Xmas (to replace a Nexus 7 that had died) and so far am really pleased with no apparent flaws or concerns. The extra 1.3 inches from the 7 inch tablet format, while not sounding like a lot, makes a massive difference and the screen is so much more user friendly to look at while still being one-handable. The picture quality is excellent and I have not suffered the yellow tinge issue reported by a previous reviewer. The system runs smoothly but there was some very occasional stuttering when scrolling between screens with some apps; however, the OTA KitKat update (Android 4.4.2) released on 8 April 14 has resolved that minor issue and everything now runs without any lag whatsoever. I have added a 32gb micro SD so have all the memory I need for films etc. Battery life is OK (I get between 7 and 8 hrs depending on what apps are running. One set of extras that are very useful are the LG UI Apps - The LG Q Pair app that is built in allowing you to link your phones notifications and answer texts and see who is calling when you are using the tablet is brilliant, slideaside and the Q remote are also very useful additions. I have used Nexus (7 and 10), I-pad mini and Samsung (tab 2) and the LG equals or beats all of them for performance and at its current price (£179) is better value especially given you can add extra memory (up to 64 Gb) for the cost of a micro SD. : I use a Nexus 5 and the link works really well. I bought a IVSO case http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00GNT3ZN6/ref=oh_details_o07_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 which is really compact and does not increase the Tablets size plus the magnetic on/off works very well and it looks good. In all the LG G Pag 8.3 works as well as a Nexus 7 but with a much better screen size. Build quality is good and the whole package just works very well. Frankly its a bargain. Would I buy again - yes

I have tried a few tablets ranging from 7" nexus to 10" samsung note but they were either too big or too small in my opinion and after purchasing this G-Pad device my conclusion is... its not shouted about enough in the media :). currently at Expansys price is vastly undercuts the google nexus 7 even with promotion discounts from google and other on-line sites. @£200 its a steal. the screen is really really great - (crisp with no over saturated colours like samsung products) and just as bright on 100% as a nexus 7. i use it at 10-25% brightness indoors. The build quality is another thing i liked its Frick'in awesome with the very slim bezels and brushed aluminium back its almost like holding a apple product. the Lg UI i find is better laid out than samsung touchwiz due to more customizations within settings, but do note that it using android jellybean v4.2.2 not that that bothers me due to a lot of good features they removed in newest v4.4 over all this is a really great product which if you use some of the free battery saving software off playstore you can get really good battery life (larger screen drain battery more than smaller phone screens). i have managed over 5 hours screen on-time and over 4 days standby with free software and have been using it for a couple weeks. buy it now :)

Had it for a few weeks as a replacement for my original nexus 7. High res screen looks great, makes magazine pages readable without zooming (although rather small). 8inch screen seems like a much better size than 7. Fast processor, no slowdowns yet. Overall very happy.
