Samsung GALAXY S II Features

For:

  • Absolutely amazing display.
  • Full of cutting edge technolgy.
  • Copes with HD video effortlessly.

What we say:

The Samsung Galaxy S II is a show case for mobile technology, quite simply Samsung have packed a stunning amount of technology in whats possibly the thinnest phone we've ever seen.

There are so many standout features on the Samsung Galaxy S II its hard to know where to begin. The one that most people tend notice is the display. Using a Super AMOLED Plus screen results in colours that are visibly brighter and more vivid than anything else we've seen. It instantly makes other phone displays look dull and lifeless by comparison. Inside there is a dual core processor, with each core running at a blistering 1Ghz lets the Galaxy S II record and playback full HD (1080p) video effortlessly. However unless your run multiple apps, day to day the Galaxy S II doesn't appear twice as older phones. Developers simply haven't had that much power at their at their disposal before. Amazingly thin, amazingly powerful the Samsung Galaxy S II is the new bench mark for phones to beat.

Samsung galaxy s2 review for Expansys competition giveaway

The Samsung galaxy s2 is arguably one of the best value smartphones on the market offering a stunning display,a beastly 8mp camera, well thought out aesthetics and ergonomics ( better thinner and lighter) and some awesome processing power blowing away most of the competition. layer that with samsungs custom touchwiz UI and regular android updates (ICS) do you have a winning product and should you buy it ? find out below. Samsung has gone all guns blazing in the hardware department the Samsung galaxy s2 has a 1.2 ghz dualcore processor and 1gb ram allowing for a smooth user experience, high definition videos load very fast and browsing the web or launching apps or playing games is handled with ease and is noticeably quicker, some may not like touchwiz but that's the beauty of android-it's open to customisation. The processing power also helps power that super amoled plus screen.Samsung have really amplified the resolution and therefore amplified everything-your movies games and overall UI looks very very sharp it's definitely something you have to see in order to give it the justice it deserves it's resolutionary. The 8 megapixel camera with led flash it is probably the only camera you need and there is also a 2 megapixel front facing camera it records In full 1080p hd at 30 fps with no hiccups and again is gorgeous to view on the display. The Samsung galaxy s2 dare I say it blows the iPhone 4/s aesthetics out of the water measuring at just a thickness of 8.5 mm,the display is also covered edge to edge in very strong gorilla glass to protect it from scratches and falls, it also has an oleophobic coating meaning smudges and fingerprint on the screen are a thing of the past. It is a very beautiful device what needs to be there is there and what dosent isn't, it is truly innovative design at it's best making it very easy to use. The back casing is a textured durable plastic (unfortunately not polycarbonate) which provides great ergonomic grip for a phone packing a 4.3 inch screen it has a standard 3.5mm headphone jack and a micro sd slot to expand memory, sammy has really ticked all the boxes-well done. The Samsung galaxy s2 made it's way to Market in may of 2011 almost 2 years on and it still doesnt feel obsolete, its ahead some of it's competitors for instance the iPhone 4s was released in October packing a 800mhz dual core processor still no match for Sammys 1.2ghz dual core and measuring a thick 9.3mm. Samsung truly are looking at the benefit of the consumer by nailing hardware, software and design all at a great price and they are committed to providing regular software updates. The question isn't should I buy it,the question is who can beat the value Samsung is offering and to date the answer is no-one. Score 10/10
