Never used a phone case before but...
thought my iPhone needed one. The iBand is the only one I considered despite the issues folks are having with the buttons. It seems to be getting better over time as suggested by tech21. The protection is amazing. I'll deal with the buttons. I imaginme if it was really bad one could cutout slots for the buttons since they are well marked.

absolutely the BEST case ever!!!!!!!!!!!
i just got iband today and i love this case, i have been throwing my iphone around like a toy and nothing happens to the phone, i have tried alot of cases, but this case tops the charts in durability and strenght, absolute for every iphone owner, a must have! i must order more of these for my small repair shop that i have repairing iphones and ipods, this will definitely be a top seller in my shop. tech21 iband case is BEST and ONLY FULL PROTECTION for your iphone, ipod touch and nano!!!!!!! well worth the purchase

Nice idea but...
It protects well without adding much to the bulk of the phone - certainly keeps the dimensions down below that of other protection systems. But has the following major flaws: 1) It totally covers the "silence" switch - so it is not possible to use it at all. 2) It covers the power switch - you can just about use the power switch by pressing really hard on the iBand - but is very stiff. 3) Same for the volume keys - you can almost use them - but they are very stiff. If you don't use these buttons it may work for you. However - as it is it is unusable for me.
