You can now download the latest version of eXpansys VoIP

If you are a new user and wish to download eXpansys VoIP, you need to ensure that your phone is compatible with the service and runs the latest firmware.

Sign up now and we'll credit your account with £3/US$3.

All you need to do is download eXpansys VoIP to your PC and transfer it to your phone using a cable connection and Nokia PC Suite by following the steps below:

  1. Ensure Nokia PC Suite is Installed on your PC (refer to Nokia User Manual)
  2. Connect your phone to the PC using your Data Sync Cable-USB
  3. Select ‘PC Suite’ on the phone
  4. Open Nokia ‘PC Suite’ on your PC/laptop
  5. Open File Manager
  6. Navigate to Nokia EXX\Phone memory\Data\Installs
  7. Drag and Drop (or copy and paste) the file you downloaded earlier from the eXpansys VoIP website into the Nokia Phone Browser\Nokia EXX\Phone memory\Data\Installs
  8. Close down Nokia PC Suite
  9. On your Nokia Phone, Navigate to Menu > Office > File mgr
  10. Open the Installed Files folder

Update your firmware

To use eXpansys VoIP we recommend you have the latest Nokia firmware on your phone. You can upgrade your firmware using the Nokia Software Update. To check the firmware version installed on your handset, press *#0000#. You can check if your phone has available software updates by clicking 'Software update availability' on the menu shown on the Nokia Software Update page.

  • On the E60 and E61, you will need firmware version 2.0618.06.05 or later.
  • On the E70, you will need firmware version 2.0618.07.10 31-08-06 RM10 (RM24 in the US)
  • On the N80 Internet Edition (N80ie) you will need firmware 4.0632.0.38 or later

To upgrade, you will need your USB cable, and you must remember to set the profile to ‘General’ before you start and ensure that there is a SIM card in place. Some operator-issued handsets cannot be upgraded on the Nokia website currently.
Please note that this removes all data on your phone, so always take a backup first.
