Hi
I have gone round the Tom Tom website looking for the support email address so often I think I am a catherine wheel. Are they trying to hide it?

Yes they probably are! If you go to TT site look under support, select your product, select categories of question, etc, and then at the bottom left is a very small link to contact them, hope that helps, it took me 5 mins to find, and i've had my TT for 16 months

No its still there, look under support, select your model, then the category, then the subject and then by magic the contact us in very small red letters appears at the bottom left, you must make the 3 selections before this appears

No, it's not there for me either. The red contact us that appears is a link to a web based enquiry form, not the email address. Perhaps if it's coming up for you you'd be so kind as to post the address.

That's it, there is nothing else, they do not have a general email address, not for the likes of us anyway, use the enquiry form ,it does work.

This is the official Uk support phone number : 0845 161 0009. Any other number will either not work or you won't get support on. Worth a call if you are prepared to wait?

The enquiry form that you fill in generates an automatic reply to your own e-mail address, and the address that this e-mail comes from is monitored, even tho' it says "do not reply to this email"

I have sent e-mail in the past to :

do_not_reply@www.tomtom.com

no_reply@tomtom.com

orders@tomtom.com

and I have received replies to all three

Their e-mail server is Microsoft Exchange Server 2003, so I would guess there is also

administrator@tomtom.com

I saw my Tom Tom as the wonder of the age but recently it failed to respond to the start up switch, leaving me completely lost but worse still I could not find a way of reporting the fault. On going to the retailer who sold me the Tom Tom One I was told nothing can be done other than to discard the "wonder" and purchase another model. Nothing has happened in my life time like this with a warrantry" so still fuming I am relieved to find there is a UK number I can ring..Bob

If it`s less than a year old the shop should get it fixed or replaced as stated in your statutory rights !

And have you tried pressing the "reset" button ?

If it's within the first six months of purchase the retailer has to prove to you it was not faulty when you bought it, this is called the "reverse burden of proof" and basically means unless the retailer can prove you broke it he has to replace/repair it, or refund you.

After six month, and up to six years you can still get a repair or replacement or refund, but it then depends on how you handle the retailer.

Within the first 6 years there is never a situation where you have to simply discard anything...
